Jeep : Swimming : Snorkeling ??

This excursion starts at Mgarr Harbour where you will find the Jeeps waiting to take you across the Gozo countryside on a Jeep Safari. The tour guide will take you through the hidden roads of Gozo that you would never find on a normal excursion. This way, you will see the real Gozo. You will visit places of great interest and then back to the harbour to take the ferry back to Malta. Clients from Gozo will be dropped at their respective hotels or farmhouses. Each jeep will have one of our drivers who will explain to you while you are going around the island. On each stop, clients will group up according to their language and there will be explanation in different languages.

If any client wants to drive a jeep himself, he will be welcome and we always leave a jeep or two for this purpose. If no one wants to drive, we provide the driver on the spot. So one can please himself.

We drive one after the other and so it is very safe and we drive slowly so that one and all can enjoy the trip.

Dahlet Qorrot Bay

Attractive Daħlet Qorrot is popular with local weekenders. There’s a tiny gravel beach, but most of the swimming is off the rocks beside the rows of little boathouses (carved out of the rock, and with brightly painted doors); there’s usually plenty of space to park. It’s within walking distance of Nadur: from Triq it-Tiġrija, head north for about 300m on Triq San Blas, then take the Triq Daħlet Qorrot turn-off; the bay is just over 2km away.

Ramla Bay

Ramla Bay is one of the prettiest sandy beaches on Gozo, with red-gold sand. The minimal remains of a Roman villa are hidden amid the bamboo behind the beach, and Calypso’s Cave looks down from the hilltop to the west. It also has a cafe-restaurant and sunbed/sunshade hire.

Inland Sea

The Inland Sea is a cliff-bound lagoon connected to the open sea by a tunnel that runs for 100m through the headland of Dwejra Point. The tunnel is big enough for small boats to sail through in calm weather, and the Inland Sea has been used as a fishermen’s haven for centuries. Today, fishermen supplement their income by taking tourists on boat trips through the tunnel. Trips pass over the remains of the Azure Window in the crystalline waters.
